Transverse spin distribution function of the nucleon in the chiral soliton model — •M. V. Polyakov1,2, P. V. Pobylitsa1,2, and C. Weiss21Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute, St. Petersburg — 2Institut f. Theoretische Physik II, Ruhr–Univ. Bochum

The transverse spin quark distribution function h1(x) is computed in the chiral quark-soliton model. This is an essentially quantum field-theoretical relativistic model with explicit quark degrees of freedom, which allows an unambiguous identification of quark as well as antiquark distributions in the nucleon. The results are consistent with the general QCD sum rule for the tensor charge of the nucleon. We also consider the status of the Soffer’s inequality in the model. The results are compared to the calculations in other models.
