Inhomogeneous line broadening effects in 1H HYSCORE spectra of betaine phosphate/phosphite single crystals — •A. Pöppl, R. Böttcher, and G. Völkel — Fak. f. Physik u. Geowiss., Univ. Leipzig, D–04103 Leipzig

Very broad 1H ENDOR (Electron Nuclear Double Resonance) lines have been measured in single crystals of the proton glass betaine phophate/phosphite. The line width is related to the proton order. 2D HYSCORE studies and measurements of the transversal nuclear relaxation time of the protons using semiselective ESR microwave pulses were performed in order to be able to distinguish between contributions caused by the distribution of the local proton positions within the hydrogen bonds on one hand and by dynamical hopping of the protons in their double well potential on the other hand.
