Charmed baryons in a constituent quark model with flavour dependent or independent exchange interaction — •P. Stassart and Fl. Stancu — Université de Liège, Institut de Physique B.5, Sart Tilman, B-4000 Liège 1, Belgium

The recent chiral constituent quark model of Glozman and Riska [1] successfully describes the light and strange baryon spectra, including a correct order of low-lying positive and negative parity states [2]. A schematic description of charm- and b-baryons has also been given [3]. As the experimental measurements are in steady progress in the charm-sector [4] data should be soon sufficient for making a proper comparison with theoretical predictions. Here we study a semi-relativistic extension of the model [1] in the context of heavy baryons. Besides the meson exchange mechanism, advocated by [1] we also discuss the contribution of the one-gluon exchange interaction, in order to reveal the role of the short range dynamics.
