The 15N(p,α)12C reaction in the stellar energy range from 65 to 345 keV — •C. Herrmann, K. Czerski, P. Heide, M. Hoeft, and C. Reineke — Institut f"ur Atomare und Analytische Physik, Technische Universit"at Berlin

Total cross sections for the 15N(p,α)12C reaction have been measured for proton energies between 65 and 345 keV. The measured excitation function is described by a Breit-Wigner shape. In contrast to previous measurements a rise of the S-factor is observed at lower energies. The data lead to a zero-energy intercept of the S-factor curve that is higher than reported in previous works. Based on these data the stellar reaction rates have been calculated. The direct reaction component has been verified by DWBA calculations.
