SYE 1: Symposium Magnetoelektronik (SY E)

SYE 1.6: Invited Talk

Thursday, March 26, 1998, 12:00–12:30, H 16

Requirements for future magneto-electronic devices used in circuit applications. — •J. De Boeck, H. Boeve, C. Bruynseraede, K. Dessein, B. Dutta, and G. Borghs — IMEC, Kapeldreef 75, B 3001 Leuven, Belgien

The integration of magneto-electronic components in electronic circuits is an area of increasing attention. The idea of an integrated magnetic memory is old, but new device concepts have been proposed and advanced integration technology may bring Magnetic RAM to the consumer market. In this overview presentation some requirements for (future) magneto-electronic devices in present and next generations of MRAM (or logic) will be addressed.
