c-Axis transport properties of YBa2Cu3O7−δ/PrBa2Cu3O7−δ superlattices. — •J.C. Martinez, A. Schattke, G. Jakob, and H. Adrian — Institut f"ur Physik, Johannes Gutenberg-Universit"at, 55099 Mainz

The coupling between the superconducting planes of YBa2Cu3O7−δ / PrBa2Cu3O7−δ superlattices has been measured by c-axis transport measurements. Series of mesa structures have been patterned on multilayers with different periodicities. These results show that only by changing the thickness of the superconducting YBa2Cu3O7−δ layers from four to eight unit cells it is possible to modify the coupling mechanism from tunneling of quasi-particles up to Josephson Effect.
