Untersuchung des hadronischen Endzustandes in diffraktiver tiefinelastischer ep-Streuung bei HERA — •Gaston Garcia — Deutsches Elektronen Synchrotron, Notkestr. 85, D-22609 Hamburg

The hadronic final state in diffractive deep inelastic ep scattering was studied using the data collected by the ZEUS detector after the installation in 1998 of a new plug calorimeter, which increases by one unit the pseudorapidity coverage in the proton beam direction. Diffractive events were selected by requiring a rapidity gap in the measured forward calorimeter energy deposits. The properties of the hadronic final state, defined in its rest frame, were studied in terms of the energy flow, thrust and sphericity. The production of multijet events was measured as a function of the energy and pseudorapidity of the jets. The results were compared to the Monte Carlo predictions of different models.
