We investigate the magnetic and structural properties of artificially layered thin films of La2/3(Ba,Ca)1/3MnO3 compounds epitaxially grown on SrTiO3 substrate by Pulsed Laser Ablation. The samples show a colossal magnetoresistence behaviour for small applied magnetic fields and in a wide range of temperatures. From SQUID measurements one can clearly observe two ferromagnetic transitions with different critical temperatures indicating the presence of a thin magnetic layer with a strongly suppressed Curie temperature. The transport properties of such samples can be attributed to a tunneling mechanism throught this thin barrier. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements indicate a good quality of the sample and a clear layering of the structure. Polarized Neutron Reflectivity (PNR) profiles have also been carried out to investigate the magnetic structure of the samples, and the result will be discussed.
