Subsurface oxygen on Rh(110) studied by thermal desorption spectroscopy — •Bolormaa Sanduijav, Christian Paals, Martin Arndt, and Manfred Neumann — Universitaet Osnabrueck, Fachbereich Physik, D-49069 Osnabrueck

The Rh(110) surface was investigated by thermal desorption spectroscopy (TDS), low electron energy diffraction (LEED)and auger electron spectroscopy (AES). AES is used to check for chemical cleanliness of the sample. The TDS measurements on Rh(110) surface show surface and subsurface oxygen desorption. The adsorption of oxygen on the surface was investigated by LEED and TDS before. The desorption of the subsurface oxygen from Rh(110)surface is observed at lower temperature compared to the Rh(111) surface, as expected.
