Organic Molecular Crystals: From Lasers to Superconductors — •Bertram Batlogg — ETH Zürich, Laboratorium für Festkörperphysik, CH-8093 Zürich, Schweiz
Organic molecular crystals of unprecedented quality have opened up to study many-body physics in new parameter spaces and to explore them for potential applications. Through gate-induced charge carrier doping we vary the electrical properties continuously from insulating to superconducting. In the talk we will discuss: temperature dependent mass renormalization due to polaronic effects, Quantum Hall transport, electrically driven lasing, photovoltaic cells, gate-induced metallic state and superconductivity in polyacenes, and record Tc in hole-doped C60.
