Modelling of the phase separation in a supersaturated solid solution — •Tatjana Ischenko1, Wolfgang Gust2, and Eric Mittemeijer2 — 1GPI RAS, Moscow, Russia — 2MPI Metallforschung, Seestr. 92, 70174 Stuttgart
A model described the phase separation process in supersaturated solid solutions for a broad interval of the supersaturation is developed. Kinetics of process is investigated by the Monte Carlo technique. Interaction with nearest and next-nearest neighbours is taken into account. The dependence of the separation process on the type of neighbourhood, solute atom concentration, and the temperature is studied in detail. The exponent of the time dependence of the precipitate size is analysed as function of the different parameters of the model. The correspondence between the value of time exponent obtained and the different separation regimes observed is discussed. The financial support of Alexander von Humboldt Foundation is acknowledged.
