The Longitudinal and Fractal Structure of the Proton — •Lastovicka Tomas — DESY Zeuthen, Platanenallee 6, 15738 Zeuthen
The talk presents the longitudinal structure function FL and a new precision measurement of the inclusive deep inelastic scattering cross section based on low Q2 - low x H1 data taken at the end of 1999 with an upgraded backward silicon tracker (BST). In the second part of the talk, the self-similar structure of the proton confinement is used to study the low x behaviour of the proton structure function F2(x,Q2) within a range of Q2=0.045−120 GeV2.
