Extreme Energy Cosmic Rays in the Z-Burst Model and Neutrinoless Double Beta Decay — •Heinrich Paes1 and T.J. Weiler21Institut fuer Theoretische Physik, Universitaet Wuerzburg — 2Department of Physics, Vanderbilt University

The cosmic ray spectrum above the GZK cutoff (in the Z-burst model) and neutrinoless double beta provide alternative information on the absolute neutrino mass. The first approach is sensitive to the heavy component of the cosmic neutrino background and the latter is sensitive to the mass eigenstates coupling to the electron neutrino. All masses are related by mass squared differences inferred from neutrino oscillation data. Consequently the potential for absolute neutrino mass determination is correlatetd in ways we point out.
