Kondo effect out of equilibrium — •Thomas Korb and Herbert Schoeller — Institut für Theoretische Physik A, RWTH Aachen, Germany

Recent experiments show that quantum dots can be tuned to the Kondo regime [1]. Equilibrium properties are understood quite well, but this is not the case for the Kondo effect out of equilibrium. One prediction is, that the dot is driven into the two channel regime by a finite applied voltage [2]. To access this regime, the correlation between dot spin and lead electrons should not be disturbed. To clarify the role of the voltage induced current on this correlation a NCA analysis and scaling arguments were applied in [3]. We apply the real time RG analysis [4] to the problem to calculate the transport properties out of equilibrium and to give an estimation of the decoherence rate.
