Spectral Vacuum-UV Emission of a Capillary Discharge — •Lothar Michel and Wolfgang Seelig — Institut für Angewandte Physik, TU Darmstadt, Schlossgartenstr. 7, 64289 Darmstadt

Time integrated spectra of an argon capillary cdischarge were registrated in the range from 5 nm to 60 nm. The observed line emission is from ArVIII to ArXI ions. The ArIX line at 46,88 nm was time resolved analysed. This line shows short time strong emission 125 ns before the current maximum at 300 ns, obviously stimulated line emission. The time integrated spectra show this line not at all. The experimental correlations to the different plasma parameters are presented.
