Non-thermal atmospheric pressure plasma sources for surface treatment applications. — •Christophe Leys1, Eef Temmerman1, and Jo Verschuren21Ghent University, Department of Applied Physics, Rozier 44, B-9000 Ghent, Belgium — 2Ghent University, Department of Textiles, Technologiepark - Zwijnaarde 907, B-9052 Zwijnaarde, Belgium

Atmospheric pressure operation of non-thermal plasmas opens up the possibility for in-line processing of films and fabrics. The paper presents new developments in the engineering of cold atmospheric pressure plasma sources and discusses their industrial potential in terms of line speed, uniformity of treatment and stability in time of the plasma-induced effect.
