The Multibeam Long Path DOAS system; a new apparatus for simultaneous measurements along different light paths — •Kai Uwe Mettendorf and Irene Pundt — Institut fuer Umweltphysik; Universitaet Heidelberg

For tomographic DOAS measurements simultaneous measurements along different light paths are needed to discern spatial concentration fields from their temporal variations. Here we present a new Longpath DOAS system called Multibeam DOAS (MB-DOAS), which allows the simultaneous measurement along six different light paths. The MB-DOAS consists of a Newton telescope for the transmission and collection of the light beams. The received light beams are coupled into different fibers which direct the light to a spectrograph connected with a CCD detector. First results obtained with the new instrument are shown.
