Reconstruction algorithms for the new FADC system of the KASCADE-Grande experiment — •V. Andrei, M. Brüggemann, P. Buchholz, C. Grupen, Y. Kolotaev, R. Lixandru, S. Over, B. Schöfer, W. Walkowiak, and D. Zimmermann — Universität Siegen, Fachbereich Physik, 57068 Siegen

The KASCADE-Grande experiment located at the Forschungszentrum Karlsruhe is a multi-detector setup combining the KASCADE experiment and the former EAS-TOP detector stations from the Gran Sasso. We are developing a new FADC system in order to improve the data aquisition quality. Measured pulse shapes from individual scintillators are sampled with a frequency of 250 MHz i.e. a 4 ns sampling interval. The pulse shapes vary strongly with the distance from the shower core. Different fast algorithms for the pulse shape reconstruction are investigated.
