We study the amplitudes of mesoscopic Aharonov-Bohm oscillations in diffusive metallic rings in the presence of electron-electron interaction. In the limit of strong dephasing we derive an analytical expression for the damping of the oscillations. The dephasing behaviour is qualitatively different from other situations because although Lϕ is much shorter than the system size the dephasing mechanism is governed by energy transfers determined by the system size.
