Efficient anti-Stokes Raman generation based on Ba(NO3)2 crystal pumped by a Nd:YAG laser with10 ns pulse width and 186 mJ energy at 1064 nm wavelength has been demonstrated. A 105 mm plano-concave cavity was used to generate anti-Stokes Raman generation at 957 nm wavelength. Maximum conversion efficiency up to 6.4 % with about 12 mJ energy was observed. A 110 picosecond Nd:YAG laser in the single pass geometry resulted in high-order stimulated Raman scattering in the visible and near-IR region from 455 to 1197 nm. All observed Stokes and anti-Stokes have been attributed to the SRS-active vibration mode of about 1047 cm−1 of the Ba(NO3)2 crystal.
