Cross section measurements of a narrow baryonic state decaying to Ksp and Ksp in deep inelastic scattering at HERA — •Amita Raval — ZEUS/DESY; Notkestrasse 85; 22607 Hamburg

Recent results from the ZEUS experiment have provided evidence for a narrow baryon resonance decaying to Ksp(p), interpreted as a pentaquark (anti-pentaquark). The measurement was performed in the central rapidity region of inclusive deep inelastic scattering at an ep centre-of-mass energy of 300-318 GeV for exchanged photon virtuality, Q2, above 20 GeV2. This study extends the previous analysis by presenting cross-section measurements for Θ+ production and decay. The cross sections were compared in bins of Qmin2 to those of Λ baryons produced in the same kinematic region.
