Reconstruction quality of events recorded by the surface detectors array of the Pierre Auger Observatory — •Ioana C. Mariş, Johannes Blümer, Karen Caballero Mora, Markus Roth, and Thomas Schmidt — Universität Karlsruhe, Institut für Experimentelle Kernphysik, Postfach 3640, 76021 Karlsruhe

The Pierre Auger Observatory combines two types of detectors for observing air showers: the surface array consisting of water Čerenkov detectors and fluorescence telescopes. Up to now more than 550 surface detectors (SD) have been deployed and more than 500 are fully operational. We analyze the quality of the SD data reconstruction in order to understand the angular resolution and to probe the sky coverage of the Pierre Auger Observatory. The final aim is to study large scale anisotropy and to search for point sources. The actual status of the investigations is reported.
