The VHE γ-ray telescope MAGIC leads the AGN monitoring program since 2006. Three well established, bright blazars were chosen for regular observations: Mrk 421, Mrk 501 and 1ES1959+650. There are many advantages of such observations: they allow to obtain an unbiased distribution of flux states, to investigate the spectral changes during periods of different source activity and therefore they improve our knowledge about the acceleration and emission processes in blazars. We present here the status of the MAGIC AGN monitoring program.
