We present second harmonic generation(SHG) in a z-cut Lithium Niobate whispering gallery mode (WGM) resonator. Our WGM resonator has Q-factors of Q=107 for 1064 nm and 532 nm. Therefore nonlinear processes become efficient for very low optical powers. We apply non-critical temperature phase matching. We observed 9% conversion efficiency at 30 micro-Watts continuous wave input power for the SHG process. Additionally, we found a self-limiting effect at high pump power and over-coupled resonator. We will explore this effect further and aim for investigating dynamcial effects in the second order response of media, such as self pulsing and chaos.
