We present a proposal based on bichromatic optical superlattices to create a versatile quantum simulator to be used for the experimental study of three-dimensional relativistic fermionic lattice theories. The idea strongly relies on the possibility of adiabatically eliminating intermediate levels of the superlattice to create non trivial hopping operators. After discussing how the setup works, we sketch some of its possible applications.
