A Parametrized Monte-Carlo Generator for UHECRs — •Tobias Winchen, Martin Erdmann, and Peter Schiffer — RWTH Aachen University, III. Physikalisches Institut A

The understanding of origin and propagation of ultra-high energy cosmic rays (UHECR) will be advanced by comparisons of the observations with Monte-Carlo generated data. For the fast generation of Monte-Carlo data we developed the here presented simulation engine, PARSEC. It currently includes parametrizations for deflection in turbulent extragalactic fields and energy losses for protons for user defined source models. Deflections in galactic magnetic fields are effectively included using a matrix approach with precalculated lenses from backtracking data. The modular code can be easily adapted to other models. Its efficiency allows the production of Monte-Carlo data for extensive parameter scans of the implemented models. In this talk we present the basic concepts of PARSEC and show exemplary simulation results.
