Several large scale liquid rare-gas based scintillation detectors have been recently built to search for non baryonic Dark Matter. The spectral and temporal emission properties of the scintillation light emitted from liquid argon have been studied in the context of these detectors [1]. A table-top setup has been developed in which continuous and pulsed low energy electron beams are used to induce the light emission. The detection system covers a spectral range from 110 to 1000 nm in wavelength. Time resolution is on the order of 1 ns.
