Systematic uncertainty due to gluon radiation among the determination of the tt cross section with the ATLAS experiment — •Hendrik Esch — TU Dortmund, Experimentelle Physik IV

Mainly considered is the uncertainty of QCD initial and final state radiation influencing the results of analysis at the ATLAS experiment. This is shown on the example of the template method which uses binned likelihood fits of kinematic variables to determine the total tt pair production cross section using MonteCarlo data at an LHC collision energy of √s=7 TeV.
