We present the analysis of three different Vanadates: InCu2/3V1/3O3, Rb2V8O16 and ZnV2O4. The layered compound InCu2/3V1/3O3 is a representative of the quasi two-dimensional S=1/2 honeycomb lattice due to the ordering of Cu and V. A Néel-temperature near 38 K was deduced from anomalies in the magnetic susceptibility. We have studied the magnetic structure in InCu2/3V1/3O3 by neutron diffraction on the high-flux powder diffractometer D20. A rise in scattering upon cooling indicates magnetic ordering to set in near the anomaly observed in the susceptibility. Furthermore, we discuss the charge and orbital ordering in Rb2V8O16 and in ZnV2O4, as analysed by single-crystal x-ray diffraction as function of temperature.
