QCD analysis and determination of αs using the combined inclusive deep inelastic scattering cross sections together with jet measurements at HERA — •Denys Lontkovskyi — Notkestrasse 85, DESY, Hamburg, Germany

Predictions for high-energy reactions of protons require values of the proton parton density functions (PDFs) and the strong coupling constant, αs(MZ), as an input. Most crucial experimental input to determination of the PDFs is provided by the lepton-proton scattering data from HERA. An NLO QCD analysis of the HERA data has been performed. It is based on deep inelastic scattering, using both inclusive and dijet cross sections. It is demonstrated that the inclusion of the dijet data has constraining power for both PDFs and αs.
