Coexistence of 3d-Ferromagnetism and Superconductivity in (Li 1−xFexOH)(Fe1−yLiySe) — •Felix Brückner1, Rajib Sarkar1, Sirko Kamusella1, Hubertus Luetkens2, Ursula Pachmayr3, Fabian Nitsche3, Hans-Henning Klauss1, and Dirk Johrendt31Institut für Festkörperphysik, Technische Universität Dresden, Germany — 2Paul-Scherrer-Institut, Villigen, Switzerland — 3Department Chemie, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, Germany

In the family of iron-based superconductors, where the superconducting dome is usually separated from the magnetic phase, only few compounds show ferromagnetism arising in the superconducting state. The so far discovered examples show ferromagnetic ordering of Eu2+ ions. In this context, the presented ordering of iron orbitals in (Li 1−xFexOH)(Fe1−yLiySe) is unique.

We performed a wealth of experimental methods to characterize the physics in this system, including dc resistivity and magnetization. With use of local probes (µSR,NMR,Mößbauer), we are able to describe the emergence of bulk ferromagnetism and superconductivity in a microscopic scale. Both phenomena can coexist, though they compete with each other, due to a spatial separation in the multilayer system.
