Status of the Double Chooz Experiment — •Lee Stokes for the Double Chooz collaboration — Universität Tübingen

The Double Chooz Experiment is a neutrino oscillation experiment detecting reactor anti-neutrinos whose main purpose is to measure the mixing angle θ13. The experiment has been running with a single detector at an average baseline of 1 km from the two reactor cores.

A second detector, located at a distance of 400m from the cores has recently concluded its filling stage and is set to start data taking by the end of 2014. This will allow a partial cancellation of systematic uncertainties between the two and increased sensitivity to θ13.

I will give a short introduction to the Experiment and present our latest results, including the latest measurement of θ13 using delayed neutron capture on Gd with an increased live-time of 468 days.
