Geometry and Analysis on Black Hole Spacetimes — •Steffen Aksteiner — Max-Planck-Institut für Gravitationsphysik (Albert-Einstein-Institut), Am Mühlenberg 1, D-14476 Potsdam-Golm
One of the most fascinating predictions of General Relativity is the existence of black holes as asymptotic states of gravitational collapse. Motivated by the black hole stability conjecture we analyze properties of Maxwell and linearized gravity equations on a Kerr background as model problems. In particular decoupling of field equations, Penrose charges and symmetry operators are discussed geometrically using Killing spinors as a generalized notion of symmetries.
