Reconstruction of the fading time by analyzing thermoluminescent glow curves for the TL-DOS project — •Robert Theinert1, Myriam Heiny1,2, Katharina Höner1,2, Kevin Kröninger1, and Jörg Walbersloh21TU Dortmund, Lehrstuhl für Experimentelle Physik IV, 44221 Dortmund, D — 2Materialprüfungsamt NRW, 44287 Dortmund, D

The Monitoring Service at the Materialprüfungsamt NRW in Dortmund develops a new thermoluminescence dosemeter system for the application in large-scale individual dose monitoring. The TU Dortmund participates in this project, called TL-DOS, especially in the development of an automated analysis of the data which comes in the form of thermoluminescence glow curves.

The recorded glow curves depend on the exposed irradiation dose as well as on environmental conditions. One crucial condition which influences the reconstruction of the irradiation dose is the time between irradiation and readout, called fading time. This time causes a decrease of the signal over time, thus, the reconstructed irradiation dose is lower than the real one.

In this talk, a method is presented which allows to reconstruct the fading time and with this information the irradiation dose can be estimated correctly.
