SONIC III - The improved particle spectrometer for particle-gamma experiments at the Cologne Tandem accelerator — •Florian Kluwig, Anna Bohn, Vera Everwyn, Michelle Färber, Miriam Müscher, Sarah Prill, Philipp Scholz, Max Steffan, Michael Weinert, Julius Wilhelmy, and Andreas Zilges — Institute for Nuclear Physics, University of Cologne
The particle spectrometer SONIC at the 10 MV FN-Tandem accelerator of the University of Cologne has been continuously enhanced in the last years. In its recent and third version, SONIC consists of 12 silicon detectors which can be mounted as single detectors or ΔE-E telescopes, and reaches a total solid angle coverage of 9%. Combined with the γ-ray detector array HORUS , particle-γ coincidence measurements are performed to investigate inelastic scattering or transfer reactions in a wide mass region. In this contribution, SONIC III and recent experimental campaigns will be presented.
