Media competences of physics education students — •Kathleen Falconer, Laura Schäfer, Stefan Hoffmann, and André Bresges — Universität zu Köln, Institut für Physikdidaktik, Gronewaldstr. 2, 50931 Köln

A random selection of physics education students were interviewed on their perception of their media competences referring to the "Medienkompetenzrahmen NRW" for teachers. The students were selected from three groups: first group were first-year students, second group were currently at the end of a problem-based media lab and the third group were students that had finished at least one semester of a project-based media lab before covid. The analysis of the interview data showed that there was a clear path from the new students through the more experienced students. The two main themes found were the development of media competences of the students and the students' expectations from the university to help them develop their media competences.
