Projection Studies of the ttHH 1L Channel for the HL-LHC — •Doğa Elitez1, Lucia Masetti2, and Paul Gessinger1 — 1CERN — 2JGU Mainz
The Higgs boson self-coupling is a central ingredient of electroweak symmetry breaking, and constraining this coupling is essential for validating the Standard Model and determining the shape of the Higgs potential. The cross-section for Higgs-pair production in association with top quarks (ttHH) is expected to increase significantly at higher LHC beam energies, making ttHH production a compelling process to study in the high-luminosity LHC (HL-LHC) era. A particularly challenging and informative decay channel is the ttHH(6b) one-lepton channel, in which one of the top quarks decays semi-leptonically and produces an electron or muon, while the Higgs pair decays into four b-quarks. In this talk, projection studies of the ttHH(6b) one-lepton channel for the HL-LHC are presented.
