Virial corrections to the Landau theory of quasiparticle transport — •Klaus Morawetz1, V. Spička2, and P. Lipavský21Universität Rostock, Fachbereich Physik, 18051 Rostock, Universitätsplatz 3 — 2Institute of Physics, Academy of Sciences, Cukrovarnická 10, 16200 Praha 6, Czech Republic

As currently demonstrated the nonlocal corrections to collision integrals in simulations can have measurable effect on observables [1]. These virial corrections to the Boltzmann equation for quasiparticles are derived now from non-equilibrium Green’s functions. These corrections are expressed in terms of shifts in space and time that characterize non-locality of the scattering integral. The space shifts parallel finite-diameter corrections to collisions of hard spheres. The time shift is identified as the collision delay [2]. The derived transport equation bears all features of the quasiparticle theory, the Landau-Boltzmann equation is recovered neglecting all shifts. Compared to the Landau-Boltzmann equation, the presented form of virial corrections only slightly increases the numerical demands in implementations. Consequences on current simulations of kinetic equations are discussed and the results for dense plasma systems are presented.
