Static Axially Symmetric Solutions of Einstein-Yang-Mills-Dilaton Theory — •Burkhard Kleihaus and Jutta Kunz — Fachbereich Physik, Universität Oldenburg, Postfach 2503, D-26111 Oldenburg, Germany

SU(2) Einstein-Yang-Mills-Dilaton theory possesses a sequence of static spherically symmetric solutions which are globally regular and asymptotically flat. Here we show, that the theory possesses many more sequences of static regular asymptotically flat solutions. These solutions possess only axial symmetry. The solutions are characterized by the winding number n and the node number k of the gauge field functions. The solutions can be continued to vanishing dilaton coupling constant, where they represent solutions of SU(2) Einstein-Yang-Mills theory. We conjecture that there are analogous solutions also for systems with Higgs fields or Skyrme fields. We expect a plethora of further regular asymptotically flat solutions, which have only discrete symmetries left.
