The new DELPHI-Pixel-Detector — •Stephan Meyer, Wim de Boer, Michael Kaiser, Dieter Knoblauch, and Hannes Leb — Institut für Experimentelle Kernphysik, Universität Karlsruhe, Engesserstr. 7, 76128 Karlsruhe

The DELPHI Vertex Detector has been upgraded for LEP200 with one layer of Pixel-Detectors as endcaps, thus covering the polar angular range between 15 and 21 degrees. During the LEP shutdown 1996/97 an additional layer will be inserted. Each layer has 38 detectors, each with 8064 pixels of size of 330 x 330 µ. Each pixel is connected to a read-out channel of a read-out chip with a sparse data scan, which yields as data only the adresses of the pixels hit. The data from the 16 electronic chips bumpbonded on to each detector are transmitted via a bus to the read-out kapton. The acceptance tests of the detectors and the performance will be presented.
