Small x behaviour of the chirally odd parton distribition h1(x,Q2) — •Lech Szymanowski3, Roland Kirschner1, Lech Mankiewicz2, and Andreas Schäfer31Inst. für Theoretische Physik, Universität Leipzig, Augustusplatz, 04109 Leipzig — 2Institut für Theoretische Physik, TU - München, 85747 München — 3Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Frankfurt am Main, Postfach 11 19 32, 60054 Frankfurt am Main

The small x behaviour of the structure function h1(x, Q2) is studied within the leading logarithm approximation of pertur- bative QCD. There are two contributions relevant at small x. The leading one behaves as (1/x)0 i.e. it is just a constant in this limit. The second contribution, suppressed by one power of x, includes the terms summed by the GLAP equation. Thus for h1(x, Q2) the GLAP asymptotics and Regge asymptotics are completely different, making h1(x, Q2) quite interesting quantity for the study of small x physics.
