Rheology and SAXS have been employed to study the order-to-disorder transition in model linear and non-linear block copolymers. Here we review the results on the statics, kinetics and dynamics from (i) linear diblock copolymers, diblock copolymer blends and diblock copolymer/homopolymer blends and (ii) graft and star copolymers and terpolymers based on polyisoprene, polystyrene and polybutadiene. With these systems we address three issues: (a) the effect of macromolecular architecture on the intrinsic compatibility, (b) the effect of macromolecular architecture on the ordering kinetics and (c) the dynamics of tethered chains confined in microstructures.
