Dimensionality scaling of level statistics at the Anderson transition — •I. Kh. Zharekeshev and B. Kramer — 1. Institut für Theoretische Physik, Universität Hamburg, Jungiusstraße 9, D-20355 Hamburg

The critical fluctuations in spectra of disordered systems are numerically calculated at the disorder induced metal–insulator transition for spatial dimensions 2 < d ≤ 6. From the scaling properties of the level statistics with the size of the system near the critical point [1] the d-dependence of the critical disorder Wc(d) is determined. The corresponding critical exponents of the correlation length ν(d) for higher dimensions are compared with the mean-field theory and results of the transfer-matrix computations on the Anderson model of localization for d ≤ 4 [2]. The influence of the dimensionality on the critical joint probability distribution of neighboring level spacings is investigated.
