Perturbative particle transport experiments were carried out in the W7-AS stellarator using an oscillating gas feed. Plasma parameters, as the electron density, the ECRH-heating power and the magnetic field were varied in order to study the parameter dependence of the stellarator particle transport.

The particle diffusion decreases quadratically with increasing density, and increases approximately linearly with increasing ECRH-heating power. However there is evidence, that a simple scaling of the form DPecrhx is too crude to describe the observed dependence of the heating power.

An inward convective particle flux (pinch) in the main plasma has not been detected, but the existence of an outward convective flux cannot be excluded.
