Self-consistent Greens functions and the exp[S]-method in a finite model-space* — •C.H. Harzer and H. M"uther — Institut f"ur Theoretische Physik, Universit"at T"ubingen, Auf der Morgenstelle 14, D-72076 T"ubingen

The pairing-properties for a system of Fermions within a finite model space are investigated in different many-body approaches. In a perturbation-theoretical framework single-particle and two-particle Greens functions are calculated within a self-consistent scheme. The results including energies, Spectral functions and occupation probabilities for the single-particle states are compared to the exp[S]- or coupled-cluster-method. Furthermore this comparison can be extended to exact results, which are available for these model-spaces and to the predictions of the BCS-theory.
