At the Max-Planck-Institut f"ur Kernphysik in Heidelberg the new High Current Injector is momentarily in the commissioning phase. After the successful testing of the two RFQ resonators in autumn 97, the injector could be completely installed and aligned better than 0.1 mm in acurracy. In its first phase the High Current Injector consists of a CHORDIS-Ion source, 2 RFQ and eight 7 gap resonators and will deliver beam intensities up to mA for ions like Li+ und Be+. In a second phase an ECR source will be added to provide the full spectrum of highly charged ions up to Uranium for the injection into the post accelerator. In this paper the progress in the design of RFQs and the results of the commissioning phase of the injector will be reported.
