A new transverse beam diagnosis system consisting of four beam profile grids has been developed for the Heidelberg High-Current-Injector (HSI). Each grid is made of 16 horizontally and vertically arranged wires (0.1 mm in diameter). The current, which is produced by the ions hitting the wires, is electronically processed (I/U-converter followed by a Sample&Hold module), amplified and allows a graphical representation of the beam profile in both coordinates. The profile displayed at the HSI-console is used for the setting of the machines parameters. In this contribution the mechanical set-up and the signal processing as well as initial results of measurement are presented.
