A high flow rate liqid hydrogen target for the A4 parity violation experiment* — •Igor Altarev — Universität Mainz
Design, construction and test results of a new powerful liquid hydrogen target will be presented. It is optimized to be used in a high (>5·1037cm−2s−1) luminosity parity violation experiment A4 at MAMI accelerator. A powerful cooling system supports a high flow rate of deeply subcooled liquid hydrogen along a closed loop up to 200W of the energy deposition in the hydrogen. Special care is taken to avoid target density fluctuations due to local boiling.
