In view of increased luminosity for the EDDA-experiment, measuring excitation functions of polarization observables from 0.5 to 2.5 GeV, a study on a storage cell is in progress. The cell will be a future supplement for the polarized atomic beam target which serves at present EDDA. A suitable aperture of the cell has to be determined which is small enough to allow for a high target density and large enough to allow the stored beam to pass from injection energy to maximum energy. First results on scraper tests and other considerations on the design of the storage cell are discussed.
