Medium dependent transport in spin-polarized nuclear matter — •K. Morawetz1 and L. Mornas21AG Quantentheorie und Vielteilchensysteme, FB Physik Universität Rostock, Universitätsplatz 3, D-18051 Rostock — 2Departamento de Fisica Teorica, Universidad de Valencia, E-46100 Burjassot (Valencia), Spain

A relativistic Vlasov equation is derived including complete clifford spinor structure. This equation contains all special cases discussed so far on the level of Vlasov equations. We explain some recent puzzles about general mass shell constraints and kinetic equations. In a second step the collisions are treated in an approximative way. The transport coefficients of spin polarized nuclear matter are calculated from an extended relaxation time approximation. The relaxation times are estimated using the realistic Bonn potential. When the polarization is non zero, new coefficients appear which describe spin diffusion, and the coupling between heat and spin currents. Moreover, the usual transport coefficients are enhanced with respect to their unpolarized value. The medium dependence is discussed and the importance for cooling mechanisms of spin polarized beams is shown.
